Fw: My other boat

Debbie Natelson

It's stunning -- and the best part is to see who is back rowing.  Fig, so thrilled to see you back in the saddle, so to speak -- and at Sound Rowers races.  Figures, you're back in the circuit and I'm out of the loop on the East coast.  Congrats on finishing your gorgeous boat -- and doing Commencement Bay. Sorry I missed the race and you.

Miss you all already,
Deb

Jeff,
Hope I picked the right address off my list.

I said I would send a photo of the skin on frame wherry I built.   18ft with a 33" beam.  Weighs about 40 lb.

These oars are terrific.  Square in section and hollow, made from spruce and cedar, they weigh less than my carbon oars.  I built them from plans at Wayland Marine.
She rows very well but the seat is low, almost as low as your feet, so I felt the pull in the hamstrings until I got used to it.    Plans for the boat came from Dave Gentry and he has others.  Here's a link:  http://www.gentrycustomboats.com/RUTH%20page.html

It was good to see you again
