debbie natelson
Please join SoundRowers Open Water Rowing & Paddling Club, for the fifth annual race around Jetty Island, Saturday, April 20, 11am. As with all Sound Rowers races, this 5 mile circumnavigation of the Jetty Island is open to all human-powered open-water craft: rowing shells (fixed & sliding seat); kayaks/surfskis; outrigger/dugout canoes; SUPs; dragonboats; and pedalcraft. The Jetty Is. race begins and ends at 10th St Boat Launch, off of Marine View Dr, west of downtown Everett. Pre-race Meeting, 10:45. 11am pre-race yoga warmup. Due to popular demand from last years' trial introduction, a warmup yoga session with professional trainier will be offered again. It may not be Hot Yoga, but you can turn up the heat along the race course. Thanks to Race Director, Peter T, for always offering something
fun and innovative. 1st--3rd place ribbons awarded to top finishers in each boat class/gender. Your race entry fee includes parking and launch fees -- AND a
super yummy hot lunch post race! Don't miss those tasty soups which volunteers have slaved over the stove to make for you. Entry fees: $10 for SoundRowers Members, $20 for non-members. The difference makes joining a super deal with each race you do. Coast Guard (or pre approved) PFD and ability to self-rescue in cold water required of all participants. Non-SoundRowers members welcome and encouraged to participate (and join) For further information and directions, www.soundrowers.org. Race Director, Peter Turcan. pvturcan@.... Please pre-register. Don't have to pay til race day and you are not committed to race. But pre-registration hugely helps race director and volunteers to get everyone registered quickly, -- with correctly spelled names and proper boat classes, and into the webscorer system. (but you can still switch boat types day of race). By pre-registering, you then get to see your results race-pace fast. Go to the
SoundRowers website to register; soundrowers.org Hope to see you there. Thanks for your participation, Debbie Debbie Natelson Sound Rowers Open Water Rowing & Paddling Club 206-730-0804 |
