Adding an event to the schedule
row12row <rangerdjv@...>
Vancouver Lake Crew, in Vancouver USA, would like to host an event on
Vancouver Lake. Our club philosophy fits well with SoundRowers, and
we
would like to be included in the SoundRowers schedule.
VLC participates at American Lake, Quartermaster Harbor, and Budd
Inlet as a club, and individual members race at other SoundRowers
events during the year.
Vancouver Lake is roughly triangular, about 2 1/2 miles per leg. Some
of you may have attended events at Vancouver Lake Park, on the west
side of the lake. We operate off of private property on the east
side.
We have 2, sixty-foot rowing docks, plus sandy shore for
waterlaunches, and plenty of free parking. The lake is shallow, and
we
are not bothered by personal watercraft or large power boats. The
wind
is generally light, except for a couple of high-profile events this
year!
We'd like to hold this event in January, but are open to suggestions.
I'd like to hear your comments and suggestions!
