Reivers Dustin

I can't do the race this year (I live one mile from the start!) so
I'm hoping there will be a couple of posts about the race.

There will be some heavy action in the HPK - surfski - division.
Yost was challenged last year, Dean has a challenger and there is a
big crop of newcomer's that look fast. Rumor has it that Prankster
Dave's love life has slowed down his paddling escapes. If there
isn't an outrigger race this weekend we'll get a flood of OC- boats.
Fierce competition going on there too.

Please post to the board and don't reply to my personal email. Just
post any news about the race. I really hate to miss this, but it's
force majeure.

Thanx

I mistakenly sent a reply to Reivers rather than the group.

Anyway, it was a nice day overall, though it was very hot with the
light tailwind heading out to Reveille Island, and nice and cool on
the return. The water overall was very calm, though a few fishing/ski
boat wakes were pretty large at times.

Several boats set records. My time this year was a whopping 21 seconds
faster than last year!

Photos are now on the Sound Rowers web site.
